Once Upon A Time In Bali (A Study at Museum of Perjuangan Rakyat Bali)

During The Hunting and and Food Gathering Period, primitive man (Phitecanthropus Erectus) is seen hunting wild pig using a hand axe and picking fruit from one of the trees.




During The Artisan Periode, the community already practised funeral rituals with the corpse placed in sarcophagus. They also had the knowledge to mould brass drum.



According to Sukawana Inscription (882 AD), an ashram in Mount Cintamani was bulit by  three Buddha priests: Siva Kangsita, Siva Nirmala, dan Sivaprajña. They were practising meditation in the niches carved on riverbanks.



In 8th Century, Resi Markandeya, a Hindu priest, came to Bali and buried Panca Datu at Besakih Temple. Panca Datu are five metallic elements consist of gold, silver, iron, bronze, and copper.



The King Sri Kesari Warmadewa made an inscription that wrote on a smooth volcanic column stone at Belanjong Temple in year 914 AD when He was inaugurated as a first king of Bali. The inscription is wrote in both old Balinese and Nagari script.
